Set in the countryside of Northern Italy, this five day course is designed to explore your understanding of spirituality through the creation and understanding of art.
Through the programme the small group (limited to 8 people) will have the opportunity to explore what they understand by the meaning of spirituality and their own spiritual journey.

For some, the art of creating is inspired not only by what they see, but often by a sense of connection to something greater. The course does not adhere to one doctrine or a belief that there is a clear and definitive universal truth, so each person’s contribution, view and experience is valid and legitimate.
Some people draw their spirituality from a belief in a creator external to themselves. For others, the pathway is an inward journey.
The opportunity to explore your own spiritual path will be guided with meditations, painting, and drawing, exploring the vitality and energy of natural and mystical places, conversations and of course good wine and food.
Included in the programme are opportunities to visit some amazing galleries and reflect on the nature of art and the process of creating.
There will be personal tuition and coaching by Nat Clegg, but the course is less about making you a great artist and more about using your art to understand and explore something about yourself.
The course is open to all regardless of how experienced are skilled you are as an artist.

Nat Clegg
Born in Rochdale in 1965, Nat trained as a fine artist at Bath Academy of Art, graduating in 1986. At Art School Nat was particularly interested in the relationship between spirituality, nature and people. His degree exhibition featured work that explored this relationship and how humans have made sense of nature through mythology and archetypes.
He now works from his studio in Turin, Italy. Nat’s work takes him all over the world and he is inspired to create from a wide range of images from different cultures, nature and supernatural settings.
Aspects of spirituality are often a theme in Nat’s work, his original inspiration was through his interest in Angels and the Angelic references that exist in many different cultures. By researching ancient cultures he unearths stories, ideas and symbols that still resonate a meaning today. Nat works in oils, digital media and uses precious metals and gems.
You can see more of his work on our website and some of his art and jewellery at: www.theguardianandthetreasure.com.
